FI to Carb...Fuel pump wiring question

Hi. I just recently completed a 305 to 350 swap in my 1986 Iroc. Also, while in the process of the swap I removed in fuel injection system along with the ECM and wiring harness. Am i going to have to wire a toggle switch to the fuel pump to turn it on now that the ECM is gone? Note: I am not electronically inclined. I'm not sure if the fuel pump was connected and ran by the ECM directly.

Assuming you left the fuel pump relay and wiring in place , all you need is a wire that is hot when the key is turned on to operate the pump.
Run the wire to the relay to replace the one that used to go to the computer to operate pump

I agree. When I did my swap I had no other option but to wire the fuel pump up. It was a TBI engine. And the PO gutted the wiring, as well as removed the computer. So what I did was, find an empty plug slot on the fuse block under the dash. With a test light find 1 that is hot with key on ONLY. Then hook up to it. I used a flat spade connector. I have had no problem with it. This is not a hard fix at all. And it only takes a few minutes.

Thats a good way to do it. Its the dk grn/wht wire from the relay

Easy spots from the engine harness to pull from are the emissions common (pnk/blk C100) and Alt/fan fuse wire (brn or tan/wht C207/C221 for older cars)

There is a three wire plug that goes in to the passenger kicker panel near the ecm. I asume this is the right set of cables coming from the fuel pump relay? And if not, where does the fuel pump relay cables run to....? Just want to be sure i get the right cables! thanks
