i have an 88 iroc-z
the eingine is out of a 91.
its a 350 tpi.
my problem is that most of the wires dont match.
it runs and drives fine.
but i would like it to be hooked up the right way.
so im wondering if i nee to get an engine harness from a 91? and
will i need a new comp with it?

 

If using an 88 engine harness on the 91 engine you should have no trouble. A few things like EGR and accessory location wont match up, but they can be modified or the 88 stuff swapped on

Using a 90-92 TPI harness on a MAF car is do-able but more wiring changes than making the 88 harness work with the 91 engine. Do a search on "speed density swap" if you go with the newer harness
