i have 2 connectors on the column i have no idea what they are or where they go???

the first 1 is the white connector and the 2nd has 1 wire coming out, seems like its plastic?

if anyone knows what the first one is, do you have the pinout for it?

 

i have a 88 vert i gutted. i got a painless wiring harness and trying to figure what to hook up to what?
i dont want heat, a/c, wipers so rather than cutting the wires out, i just got a hew harness and ill tuck the wires under the dash. i wanted to eliminate all the relays and other crap from under the hood so it looks clean and simple. pop the hood and just see an engine.

 

I think the black connector is the one that plugs into the harness on top of the steering column. I think that's what connects your steering wheel functions into the car, such as turn signals, hazards, and so on.

 

yea the black does the turn signals, hazards and the horn
i m not sure but i would think the white connector would have to control the ignition? not sure what wires are what???

 

the white one should be for your winshield wipers

 

Big one is wipers, small cruise control from the stalk

Theres actually 4 tiny wires under the black sheath
