I know this has been addressed be fore but I just ned the basics.I do own a 91 Camaro but this has to do with my 91 1500 305.

The engine is a stock 400 sb
Return reg
Accel hei
Proper brackets
And all the odds and ends

I have read numerous articles about wire the fuel pump this way or that way.
I trust you guys and all I'm looking for is the simplest way to get this thing running.Some of the wire colors don't seem to match what has been posted.

Nothing fancy.Wiring is my weakness.

In tank tbi pump

 

All you need a wire that is hot ; key on , to power up the stock TBI pump relay.
That way you don't have to think about turning off / on a seperate pump switch.
You should have a suitable wire left on your stock TBI harness ; ones that used to go to emissions stuff especially

Use a DVM to find a unused wire that has 12V on it when the key is turned ON and run that to the relay replacing the wire that used to run to the computer to operate the relay

 

Just a little confused.Do I send the wire to the switch on relay plug wires or to the relay with the plug installed to the relay?
I guess what I'm askin is do I bypass the relay and connect to the plug or brek the box covering the relay and keep it hooked up.

The relay used to be operated by the computer.You just run a replacement wire to operate the relay leaving it in place
Just cut the old wire at relay plug and join new one to it

Typical GM relay wiring shown below.
You need key on 12V to green/ white wire or whatever wire on your TBI relay that went to the computer
