Didnt find a tread on this... mayb some of us can benefit
Well I am currently restoring my 92 3.1 camaro and well i was thinking ahead. how bought installing a kill switch to the ignition. Now i dont know how to do this but if someone can help me with this write up and mayb a few pics it would be great. I also have a alarm already installed but now a days people just find the sound to be annoying so to me its just added security.

Your 1992 has a VATS key doesn't it? Car will not crank without the VATS module getting that resistance value.
But if you wanted added security, you could wire in a toggle switch in many locations to interrupt starting.
Theres the starter enable relay, located under the driver side kick panel, usually under the black goo where the hood release is - you could toggle on/off either the positive to the relay or the negative (the VATS module already toggles the negative).
There's the neutral safety switch - you could toggle it on/off - but that's alot more amperage wires (larger guage).
You could toggle on/off the fuel pump.
You could toggle on/off the VATS wires themselves - read the VATS tech article - the two white wires in the orange cover - simple toggle one of them on/off.
There's a gazillion different options to a start disable switch. You'll just have to pick your poison. Biggest issue is installing the toggle so it's not a huge PITA to use for yourself, but is also hidden away well enough to not be found easliy.
In the end, if someone wants your car badly enough, they'll just winch it on a rollback and be gone in 5 minutes anyway. For a little peace of mind, Toyota Camry and Honda Civic are the two most stolen vehicles - there's not a huge market for 3rd gen parts - but the concern over "joyriders" still exists.
*edit*
You live in Miami - there's always a Ferrari in Miami - just park beside the Ferrari and make the choice easy!

Here's the wiring diags for just about every 3rd gen - you can get wire colors and such, see hwat you can find that would be easy to tie into, etc.

I totally understand. I've got 5 years and $15k into mine, and I'm not done yet!
