There may be a few differences - some of the 'birds had radio controls on the steering wheels where Camaros never had, but majority of it should be the same.

i do have an 88 camaro column but im not sure if it would wire up to my 90 due th no vats or airbag,do you know anything about it?

Airbag wouldn't be an issue, you just wouldn't have a functional air bag anymore.
Vats would be an issue, but you can disable the vats on the car side since the 88 column wouldn't have the vats wires/switch: www.thirdgen.org/vats
