Any bright ideas?

I have a 1982 Trans Am, my passenger headlight is dim and blinks slightly with the turn signal. I believe it goes out when the high beams are turned on, not sure if it still does that or not, I don't drive the car at night too often as deer are a problem where i live. I own a Neon if I get the itch to clobber Bambi. Anyways, I was curious if anybody has encountered this problem before I go digging into my wiring harness. My fuses are all good, not sure about the multifunction switch, everything works when the headlights themselves are off. Any feedback?

Not Bright On The Right

It sounds like there is an open ground.

Make sure the lightswitch is off and unplug the right headlight socket.

Using an ohmmeter make sure you have less than 1 ohm to ground.

Then make sure the right low beam terminal has continuity to the left low beam terminal.

Happy Racing!

Re: Any bright ideas?

IIRC, there's dual ground wires from the head light harness to just under the lip of the frame on the passenger side where the battery is.

Re: Any bright ideas?

Almost forgot I posted this, I don't have an ohm meter (yet) but I did trace out the ground wires visually and found a spot where several grounds had been soldered together. It was pretty corroded so I fixed that and everything is working just fine now. Thankyou for your help.
