distributor wiring question

I'm getting down to the end of this TPI wiring project in my '73 Pickup. I had a question about the distributor bypass wiring. I dont know if the guy that got to this harness before me removed it or what happened but I don't see it. What color wire did they use on the '88 5.7 TPI and what did it run to? Does it go to the module or to the coil? My harness came without the connector with the pink wire and white wire that are supposed to be ignition and Insterment cluster respectively, according to Chilton. I don't really understand what it would connect to in the cluster help with that would be awesome too. This is the last I need to get it going. Thanks for the help.

Re: distributor wiring question

What dist ( HEI or small cap/ remote coil ) are you using?
What is harness out of?

Pink is "key on" IGN power and white is the signal to tacho in cluster
On a HEI both go to the marked terminals on the dist cap ; on a remote coil setup they go to the coil which then has a cable with small 2 pin connector that plugs into small cap dist body.
Both types also have a 4 wire connector to dist that comes from the ECM for spark control

Neither
Typical remote coil dist wiring shown .
Timing bypass connector ( not shown ) is on the tan / black wire to ECM. Takes out ECM control of the spark advance

Re: distributor wiring question

You're awesome. That was everything I needed. I even found the Tan/Blk wire and connector. Thank you so much
