Need basic wiring advice
Ok, might sound dumb but I want to wire my fuel pump, injectors, and possibly ignition system straight from the battery. I just want bare bones wiring to turn these things on/off.
I cant find anything explaining how to do this, but from staring at wires under my hood for countless hours on end I have come to this conclusion.
1. Find the power wire coming out of item that needs to be charged
2. Run wire of same guage all the way to + battery terminal
3. At some points of the line, install a switch, fuse, and ground.
4. Hook everything up
Am i on the right track or does it get more complicated for what I need to do.

Need factory circuit diagrams because some items go to ground at the item and some go to ground at the switch
You won't be doing the injectors because they are controlled by the computer unless you plan on turning a switch off /on 100 times a second to make injectors work

Re: Need basic wiring advice
Yeah I wasnt thinking about injectors, but the reason is my whole fuel/ starting system is not working. And i dont have any more money for a mechanic to hack up the wiring and achieve nothing. So i figured I would wire power to each component until i can get it to start. BTW i havent checked injectors for power. How do i check with a multimeter (what do i set it on and what readings should i be getting from each wire?)
