I need help wiring a tach
Ok so i bought a tach the other day because i have a common issue like most 90-92 camaro owners with the tach problems, mine just stays completely on way past the red zone idk why, but i figured instead of trying to figure out what the problem is (people have told me its coil but idk for sure) i bough a new tach, hopefully it wont give me the same problems, but i have a few questions theres only 4 wires to connect and i was hoping i could get advice from some people who have more experience then me. i want to keep it clean under the dash and hood so i dont want a bunch of loose wires hanging around because im sure its hazardous as well as sloppy looking.
the 4 wires consist of a hot, a ground, a wire to connect to a dimmer to dim the lights in the tach, and a wire to connect to the ignition coil in the distributor
im sure thousands of u have put these in before, what is the best way to hook it up. Im most concerned about the wire going to the distributor
any input would help and pictures would b great but like i said anything would help
thanks
Lou

You obviuosly have to go through the firewall to get to the coil - best way without drilling a new hole is to find the hole in pass side where radio antenna wire runs out and run it through there.

since its only one wire going through the firewall, you may be able to make room in the cruise control grommet to run it through. relatively close to the distributor and you wont have to make any new holes.
