165 ECM wiring questions
Hey, I did the swap from the '870 ecm to the '165 ecm years ago and had some troubles with the re-repinning so about a year ago I clipped the connectors off of an '87 harness and just spiced it on.
Everything seems to be running fine, but there are 4 wires that are just hanging out not connected to anything and it is kind of freaking me out. One of them is a dark blue wire, and I know that one is supposed to be disconnected as it was C12 on the old harness (Back up TPS signal) and is abandon in the '165 ecm. Two of the remaining look like system grounds as one is black with a white stripe, and the other is just black. The last one is a heavier gauge wire than any of the others and is light orange (I think it goes straight to the starter).
Should I just not worry about these things since everything seems to be running properly? Should I just splice the ground wires to existing system grounds? I suspect normally some of the system grounds have 2 wires feeding to one pin on the ECM. Does anybody know which pins?
