My Ebay/DDM HID set up

I've been a member for a few months, mainly lurking. After reading all the HID posts I decided to go ahead and try my luck. I bought a EBAY H4656 conversion kit to H4 bulbs. The kit ran me $35. The lenses were pretty decent. Durable plastic housing with a glass lense. I went with the DDM Apexcone Raptor V2 6000k HID kit. This ran me another $35 or so. Installation was a breeze with the lenses mounts just as the OEM ones did. No problems there. Wired the HID's up and then mounted to ballasts. Everything was fairly straight forward and I cant be more happy with how they look at night. Only issue I have now is when the HI beams are turned on the LOWS shut off. From what I've read and to my understanding, the reason for this is the OEM harness just isnt strong enough to supply enough power to each set of lights. Is this correct? Other than that, this is just another thread on some HID's and my experience.

ballasts are mounted just behind the light housings. Didnt want to clutter the engine bay up.

looks real nice man, always wondered how those would look on mine. Did you ever get it fixed so the low beams don't shut off when the high beams are on?

No, haven't really looked into it. The lows are now bright enough I dont need to switch to high beams which is nice.
