Today, while I was putting my T-tops in the hatch of my 92 camaro. I flipped down the license plate to pop the hatch, and I thought to myself... What if I could configure something that could flip the license plate down while i'm driving?
That would be amazing! I could get out of a lot of **** if I did this.

I did some google searching and i found this thing called flip plate... it works exactly how i want it to. the only problem is that the flip plate mechanism would cover up the keyhole to the hatch.. Anybody heard of this? does anybody have this installed on their thirdgen?

i want to build something to replicate this...

 

I've seen a youtube video of a car that did that. Used an electric motor to flip the plate down & up.

I noticed that ALL their prices are high on everything I looked at!

Not the hood. Hell....It even has the pics from Hawk's (i think it where the hood pic is from).

So they are profiting like 3 times over what WE would pay Retail and you know they are getting it cheaper & reselling it!

No, even Hawk's uses a recycled picture of that hood. That pic has been around for a while. IIRC, it was originally an ASCD or Suncoast Creations picture of their hood back when they were the only ones producing it.
