I have a 91 Formula with a nice working gauge cluster...
I'm beginning the process of installing my Knight Rider dash and the only gauge that needs to remain is the speedo (for ecm purposes)....

My friend has an 89 Z (both cars are V8 / TPI)...
He has a couple gauges that aren't working correctly...
I wanted to just swap the whole gauge cluster first, and see if my guages work in his car, before dismantling both pieces, switching them, and hoping it works...

Are the circuits for both those clusters the same? I don't wanna put my 91 gauge cluster in his 89 if it will mess anything up, just want to see if my gauges work in his car, or his car has other problems... and if all good, then actually switch the gauges...
