LC-1 Gauge hook up question.....

The instruction says hook the yellow wire up to the headlight power wire (a wire that supplies current to the headlights and not connect this wire to the headlight dimming wire). So, my question is, can I hook it to the Dash light wire for the gauges or do I need to run the wire to the actual headlight power wire in the headlight switch?

Thanks.

Yelling About The Yellow

That yellow wire to the headlight power deal is to dim the display when you turn on the headlights.

If you connected the
yellow wire to the dimmer it would work if you keep the dimmer at maximum brightness.

Ok...so I just need to keep the dimmer at the maximum brightness and it'll work. If I reduce it just a tad, what will happen?

The display will go to full brightness if you turn the dimmer down.

Exactly what point on your dimmer dial is unknown.
