Brown wire

I was looking at my fuse pannel today and there is a brown wire with a spade end on it not hooked up to anything what could this be the only thing that dont work is the cruse thanks

Wouldn't be anything factory like that, someone has rigged a wire in there to power something.

Only brown wire i know of on a 3rd gen is connected to the alternator for chaging the battery.

the brown wire seems to be in with the cruse control it appers to be a factory module but when I took the dash appart I can tell that wasent a factory wire job. the wires are just run thru the firewall no grommett in the hole or anything. so it looks like I am going to remove all that stuff thanks all for the help
