TCC wiring up..

I am in the process of wiring up my Torque Converter. I have installed the FAST fuel management system in and am a little stumped. From the Factory plug off the transmission I have 3 wires that go to the TCC on the transmission ..

According to the GM Mitchell Manual for 1987 Camaro the wires are.

1. LT BLU wire which is for the Top Gear Switch
2. PPL which is for the TCC Solenoid to the Brake Switch
3. Tan w/Blk which normally goes to the ALDL connector

When I look at the wires, they actually are Green, PPL, and Tan w/Blk.. Not a big deal. I will use the green for the LT BLU..

Am I under the correct assumption that I should use the LT BLU or Green wire for the TCC? The PPL and Tan w/BLK should only go to the ALDL and Brake Switch.. I am thinking so when you tap the brakes, The TCC unlocks. Please let me know if I am thinking this correctly. I can scan the image from the manual if needed.

Re: TCC wiring up..

Ground the tan/black wire on pin D to lock the TCC.

Reread your diagram .
12V comes through the brake switch to TCC solenoid .TCC is controlled by going to ground at ECM ( tan /blk ).When brake switch opens it cuts off power to TCC

As shown in diagram ,it goes to ECM ; also Tee's off to ALDL connector so you can test TCC operation by grounding terminal

Tells the ECM when the transmission is in O/D.

ok, So in my case, I am using a FAST XFI computer. The Blue wire would go to the TCC?

Not if the computer is going to control the TCC.
