89 Firebird battery issues

alright so the car was running off the battery when i first got it i cleaned the neg grounds and got a new battery and the battery gauge was staying around 12, 13 for about 2 weeks and now the battery is completely drained and the car wont start unless its jumped but dies back down and stalls after there disconnected iam not sure what it could be maybe a fuse? or alternator?

check the alternator, take it off and take it to your local parts store like autozone and have them check it. also do you have a sound system in your car? that could also drain your battery.

pull out the alt and have it checked like emokid mentioned. also grab a multimeter and check to make sure there's no breaks (continuity test) in the cable going from the alt output to the battery.

sounds like power's not getting to the bat from the alternator, as you should be 14v or higher when the engine's running.

yea i wonder if it could be the linkable fuse from battery to alternator because my buddy kit the back of the alternator on accident and it sparked i wonder if that would of blown anything, the car wasnt running it was off when he did it
