Coil Resistance?

Does anyone know what the limit for acceptable resistance for an hei coil is, my Hanes manual says that it should be zero or close to zero? What the hell does that mean? I'm getting a reading of 1.2-.9

Thanks, DacMan

Resistance Is Futile

The resistance is about .3Ω for the primary.

Your .9Ω to 1.2Ω might be imperfect contact among the leads.

Therefore if you have no spark you should check voltages.

Using a voltmeter or test light
(the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe the primary of the coil when the key is in the RUN position.

Is there power?

How bout those too scared to drive without headlights in the daytime and the ones that need headlights for a little rain
