vats ugh
ok so i found the source to my intermittent starting issue, the solder in my key ignition had come loose and wasn't making good contact, i just did some research on here and i wanna make sure i do this right. if i unplug the vats wires from the ignition and solder the correct resistance on the wires going to the module will it work fine? i mean is there some kind of power that the key also triggers or does it JUST read the resistance. i didn't wanna go buy the resistors and it not work without the key ignition plugged up. i already know mine is vats #12. any help on this? i just wanna get rid of the problem where the solder keeps coming off, this is the second time i've replaced the ignition.

Re: vats ugh
That's it. Module just looks for the resistance value and when it gets the right resistance it grounds the starter enable relay and sends a signal to the ECM to enable fuel injectors.

Ok I bought a 4.7 k resistor at radio shack and fired right up! I'm so glad to finally be done with that security crap. Thanks a lot guys! A lot of stress gone!
