Heater Fan Not Working...Help!!!!
I'm kind of new to this. I recently bought a 1982 4BB Z28. I think I've bit off more than I can chew but I'm not going to give up. My latest issue is my heater fan. When I bought the car the heater blew for about 2 weeks, then it crapped out. I'm not much of a mechanic but can kind of figure out how to replace stuff using the manual. The problem is figuring out what is actually wrong. I checked the fuse which was fine. Yesterday I changed the blower motor but I still get nothing. Any suggestions on the next direction I can go?
My other issue is the AC. There's no rush being it's January but whoever had this car before removed the AC. My past 2 cars had no AC and I'm tired of sweating the boys off
. So I'd like to put the AC back in. I just don't know all the pieces I need. I guess I need to know all the components that go from the AC Compressor to the the right of where the blower motor goes.
I still have a few months to fix the AC but right now getting the heater fan blowing is my first priority. Thanks for any help you can provide.

No Heat Is Not Neat
Using a voltmeter or test light (the type for testing for voltage, not a continuity tester) probe the orange wire at the blower relay.
Is there power present when the key is in the RUN position, the HVAC control is in the HEATER position & the blower switch is set at HI?

Re: Heater Fan Not Working...Help!!!!
I assume the blower does not work in any speed. Look at the back of the fan switch. They can get real hot and melt the plug and harness.
As for your A/C you basically need from the compressor,
Manifold hoses. One hose will go to the condensor. From the condensor there will be an aluminum line that goes to the evaporator (inside the box where the blower fan is). Inside the tube there the aluminum line connects to the evaporator there is an expansion valve (looks like a plastic tube filter). Coming out of the evap will be the dryer or accumulator and from there a hose goes back to the compressor. Then there is wiring with pressure switches and stuff.

Welcome to TGO, Scottish. Since there aren't many questions that haven't been asked and answered on site, a search is generally a good idea. To start, check post #5 of the following link:
