85 Instrument Cluster Into An 84 Dash?

Car: '84 Camaro - 2010 Surf Blue
Engine: 305 - 4 bbl Holley
Transmission: WC T5
Axle/Gears: 3.08
85 Instrument Cluster Into An 84 Dash?

I've read a lot about swapping instrument clusters, but haven't found an answer to this: does the 85 cluster connect directly to the 84 wiring without modifying circuits or connectors?

Also, I'm going from idiot lights to gages, are the same sender unit connection wires used between the two instrument cluster types (I know I have to change the sender units themselves)?

There can be electrical gremlins when swapping later model clusters into 82 and 83 cars. Check the following link, especially post #3:
