I broke a connector near the starter--need help!

http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...irebirdpic.jpg

1990 Firebird V6 - stock (aftermarket alarm had been put on w/ starter kill but since has been totally removed - or so I think)

I replaced my starter and have no idea what I broke. The link to my pic is above. It is enough to make my check engine light come on.

The part is the circular bronze piece with the black plastic inner part sticking out. (This isn't the solenoid, right?) This is attached to the underbody just in front of the starter (where the starter wires are). What broke is the metal tip of a connector attached to a black wire. You can see this wire curved up to the right of this bronze piece in the picture (look for some electrical tape around it). Before, this metal tip just fit loosely inside the black plastic piece (to make a connection with the metal inside). Due to the age of the metal, this metal tip broke off and will no longer fit in. (1) What is this, and (2) what connector do I need to ask for to get this to fit back in? Sorry for the layman's terms, but I have no idea what this is or how to fix it. Figures...I always break something while fixing something else. Thanks for any help. This one's really throwing me.
