Ignition Lock Cylinder Help Needed

Engine: 3.1L, 350 4 bolt, 350 TPI

Ignition Lock Cylinder Help Needed
My car got broken into and I had my spare keys in it (don't ask) and they got stolen so I went to change the lock cylinder and I got the new one in with no problems but my VATS were already bypassed but I plugged in the new one since I got a new GM cylinder. Anyway the car didn't start so I plugged in the old bypassed one and the car still didn't start. I'm lost and have no idea what to do next. Thanks

Started car couple hours later and it started just fine. I'm still confused.
