Need help with wiper motor test diagram!
My wipers are currently not functioning except in high speed and they are not going into the park position. I am trying to test the wiper motor to see if that is the problem. The attached document describes how to test it and shows a diagram but I am not that great with electronics and am a little unsure about how to test this properly.
According to the "Lo Speed" test, I need to connect pins 2 and 3 to a 12 volt source (I am going to use the car battery). However, I am not sure what I need to do with pins 1, 7 and 8. It appears that I need to connect separate test leads from those pins to a ground source. Is that correct? Isn't the wiper motor already grounded through the bolts attaching the motor to the firewall? This is confusing. I know this is probably basic stuff but I would REALLY APPRECIATE some help on this!

Re: Need help with wiper motor test diagram!
So I just connect three separate jumper wires from those pins to the engine block or other good metal contact?
