Side Marker Light - turn off w/ Headlights?

Side Marker Light - turn off w/ Headlights?
I guess I have never paid attention to this but is it normal for the sidemarker lights to turn off when the headlights and/or parking lights are on?
When the headlights are off the side markers work like normal (turn signals)
But when the headlights or the parking lights are on and you use the turn signal they do not work?
What gives?

I just checked mine - the side marker should function the same as the front turn signal - it should be on with lights, flash with turnsignal, and flash with turn signal if lights are on.

Well I figured it out - it just happened to be the type of LED bulb I had in there. I dont know why this new LED bulb didnt work when I had a different LED bulb in there before. Oh well
