I recently replaced my 3rd gen seats for a set of 4th gen seats. I used the 4th gen tracks and the driver side is a power seat.

For the past week when I installed it and removed it to change my carpet, I just rigged up a battery pack to move it around, but today I went out and actually wired it up.

I just grounded to one of the seat bolts, and ran a hotwire under the dash. Now what I ran it to... I'm not exactly sure lol. I've had this plug under the dash that was never plugged into anything, and when I went searching for a power source for the seat found the plug to be hot when the key was off, which is what I wanted for the seat. So I just rigged up a flat terminal to plug into the plug so that I could unplug it if necessary.

It works fine, except one weird thing. If I use the seat all my interior lights dim slightly. I'm guessing I'll have to find another power source, but can anyone tell me why this would be happening?

Cool, this is what im looking for because im swapping seats my self this weekend on my Formula. Ill check with that dimming thing also, my Z28 came with power seats from the factory & i think it does that also. Ill let you know.
