Fuel relay noise after tpi/carb swap
hi guys,
i have done a swap from tpi to carb last year.
everything is fine and drive smooth.
the only thing i have from the begin of the swap is this:
if i pull the ignition on the fuel pump wil also go on.
but there comming a strange noise out of the fuel relay.
wen i start the engine and the car is running the noise is gone!
if i putt the ignition off the engine shut down.
but the fuel pump is still on.
i must pull the ignition again on and off to shut down the fuel pump.
there is no other way to shut it down.
it was before a tpi.
wenn i did the swap i have connect some fuel pump wire`s to the oil pressure sending unit.
i have read that here on the thirdgen.org that i must connect that wire`s to that unit.
it was better to do it that way because if the oil pressure sending unit stops working, will the fuel pump also shut down and you know then that there is something wrong.like a safty thing for your engine.
but i hate the noise, how must i reconnect the fuel pump wire`s?
can i take the best way to take a ignition + fom the fuse box??
thanks dennis
