what connector is this and what does it do
I have a connector that was run with the ECU wiring to the same area. I want to know what it is for as I think it might have my reverse light wiring in it. the harness is from a 87 iroc , T5 tranny
If you would what it is please let me know as I cant find anything on it at all.
Its the connector on the right 1 brown 1 blue, 1 green , 2 pink with stripes

Also does anyone have a diagram or know the name of the connector that goes to the rear of the car and is next to the fuse panel. heres a pic of it

Re: what connector is this and what does it do
I believe the connector in the first picture provides power to the fuel injectors, specifically the 2 pink wires are + feed to the injectors. I am not sure (been 2 years since I swapped everything to a TPI) but I think the remaining wires are for the VSS from the cluster to the computer and + feed from the fuses to the fuel pump relay and fan relay. That's the best I can give you from what I see in the picture. The reverse light is part of the neutral safety switch/harness. The connector is much larger, tan or white in color, single row pin connector and attaches to the neutral safety switch on the shifter. The NSS harness is part of the dash harness.
As for the second pic, I don't know if there is a name to it. That feeds everything from the dome light to everything at the rear of the car (lights, trunk release, fuel pump, fuel sending unit)

Ya that could be a connector to another smaller harness that runs into the console, for the reverse lights. Wiring diagram would be the best way to make sure what it is for.

Re: what connector is this and what does it do
Ok i went and found my 85 auto harness and found the reverse lights in it. The second wire coming from the flasher relay goes to it in the auto harness. So the connector in the first pic on the left is the flasheer relay pigtail. The blue wire goes to the connectore on the right and there is a green wire as well so the blue and geen are the reverse lights.
I still need a chart / diagrame of the connector in the 2nd pic as I want to know what every wire does. On both sides of the connector there is letters on it for each wire.
