Swapping the TPI motor and computer from a 88 trans am into a 1987 camaro (v6). The camaro has the plain jane dummy light set up, the one with the 85mph speedo and a fuel tank, that's it. I plan to go to all aftermarket gauges later, but for now i was wondering if the 87 speedo and fuel gauge will function on the 88 trans am ecm. I know the t/a has a completely different dash set up, and the dash side harnesses are different. Even if its not plug and play, would modifying it to work be a headache?
