Help ID this connector!
Finishing up re-assembling my engine after a rebuild. This one connector cannot find a home. I hope there is someone out there who can identify what this is and where it goes. It is on the driver's side coming from the firewall out of the harness. The length is very short so whatever it connects to has to be nearby but I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance.

That looks like th eone all these cars have in certain years that doesn't go to anything; should have a black and a pink/black (ground and ECM ignition) if that's the case; was probably used for production line diagnostics or some such but I don't know that for sure.

Yep, the wires are black and black/pink. Sofa, it looks like you nailed it thanks so much. I never knew that there was one that didn't belong.

Is it pink? Looks like tan & black, short little 2 prong weatherpack for the IAT sensor in the back of the plenum (underside)
I had my entire 87 apart (5.7TPI) and there is no loose wiring from the factory apart from a blue wire w/ a ground strap that depending on the engine/ECU is grounded or not (computer controlled dual fans should not have this strap grounded, it'll make the fan run all the time)
