Alternator from a different year car
Hi,
Ive got to replace my alternator, and theres a couple of used ones for sale, 1 from an 86 and 1 from an 87. Will they bolt straight onto a 92? Im not too worried about different wiring, just the fitting of it

They should have different mounting ears. I believe the '86 is v-belt style also.

Yep - can't swap between V-belt years and serp belt years - the mounting tabs are at different positions and it won't swap between brackets.
