i bought a 91 bird that had a 3.1 that had been pulled i put a carbed 355 in it with a 700r4 trans they cliped all the wires and know im not sure whati can cut out and if im going to be able to use some wires like starter and alt and i would like to use the stock gauges does any one know if i will have to rip out everything and start fresh with just running hot wres or can i still run these thay r going through the ecm and where i can get a wire diagram that i can read thanks

 

1) - works great

2) Pas side wires coming from ECM area to engine bay can probably all go - I say probably because you never need a wire until you cut it - just get them all bundled up and tuck them in the pass fender well

5) you'll need:
a) RETURN-style fuel pressure regulator like a Mallory 4309 - any old $30 fuel pressure regulator will not work if using the intank pump, must be return style
b) a TV cable geometry corrector specifically for your carb - $20 at Summit
c) a GOOD throttle bracket that can take the pressure of the TV cable without bending
d) MAKE SURE you get the TV cable adjusted properly BEFORE you drive the car any - the TV cable is critical to the tranny and an incorrectly adjusted cable can fry the tranny in as little a 2-3 blocks
e) You'll need a torque converter lockup kit for the 700R4 - since there is no computer, there won't be any locking function of the TC
f) HEI vacuum advanced distributor
