i have an 82 firebird with a carbed chevy 350 sb. it was running great no problems until i remade the battery housing, then the radio would restart when i turned the directional on. so i got new terminals thinking that maybe it was a bad connection and that solved the problem so i never thought anything of it. Then i went out one day might have herd a clunk but it was probably just somehting the tire threw up into the floor pan, the car ran fine still nothing unusual. but when i shut it off to get some gas the car wouldnt restart...?

When you try to start the car it seems like somone just disconnected the battery. nothing makes any noise atall. the lights turn on but wont go up, the windows wont go back up, the radio gets power, the 12v outlet gets power, the motor seems to get nothing until i jumped the started and it jumped the motor. i have no clue what it wrong at this point i can track anything but electrical problems it seems. especially this time im stumped.

I tested the battery and it was fine. tested the alternator and it passed, tested my other alternator i put on and it passed also. i have checked every ground and i am stumped. the car still seems to not have enough power. and no fuses are blown.

same thing happened to me a wire prob broke on your starter(the bigger wire) or you blew a fusible link which also happened to me lol

 

I just put in a non-ac delete box in my 1987 Iroc 5.7 Auto & A/C
I used all the electronics that were from my car after adapting the motor fan.

I was cranking the tunes and the battery went dead.
When I tried to start it barely turned over and then my Volts meter drops to 0
Tried few more times and smoke started coming from the starter wire.
One Orange wire burnt right off.

Does the A/C fan motor share a wire with the starter ? Maybe Orange One

Or are these two seperate issues?

I know have no power windows, powerhatch works, Cigarette light and Interior Lights work
