How to make factory speedo work in 86 ta with no factory computer!!

Okay heres the deal I dropped a 454ci small block in my 86 ta and completely remover the factory computer. I am running an edelbrock pro flo xt now. Does anyone know how to make the factory speed sensor and speedo work? Will a dakota digital SGI-5 box do it? I sent them an e-mail, but still haven't heard back.. any ideas!!

You don't need the Dakota digital box. If you have a gauge cluster (as opposed to the 2 large gauges and the idiot lights), and haven't adulterated the dash harness, all you need is a yellow buffer box (if you haven't already chucked it, you should have it as it was on the back of the ECM bracket) and the associated pigtails. The wiring comes in through the big connector in the dash from the speed sensor in the tail of the trans and all of the wiring is contained within the dash harness.

Assuming you have the full gauge cluster, all you need is the yellow box. Plug it back in and check to make sure the speedo still works.
