I have issues, my gfs headlights are on, but her rear is lacking. Help?
Good Morning,
Read through threads printed out a few sheets and started out with a multi-meter. Tail lights went out, no license plate bulbs, no side markers, no running/park lights. The left rear signal/hazard is out as well (dash light stayed solid). All lights in front of car work.
Brake lights work, backup lights work. The right signal and right hazard worked.
Brown wire in back has power, reads 13-15 volts, used clip ground wire for lights go to to test with multimeter in hatch area. Yellow and Dark green wire get power with signals.
Under dash, the purple wire going up into column showed 13-15 volts as well.
I started with the driver-side light socket (2 light blue wires, 1 Dark Brown, 1 Black). Found that when I try to get a voltage reading right at the socket, all it shows is .03-.05. Normal or bad socket? I then tried to get a voltage reading by probing the brown wire, and touching the ground probe to the ground wires, where they come together from all the sockets, no voltage reading. .All wires look fine.
With the headlights turned on, I even touched the brown wire to the ground location in trunk.. No spark or anything, expected to see something, (especially after it gave a voltage reading probing brown wire and that ground location).
Headlight switch is under a year old. Also, all fuses look good.
Any ideas? I'm not opposed to ordering all new sockets, about $30 for everything. I love toggles too, so if that's a suggestion to fuse and toggle that's ok.
Thanks,
-Res
