Wiper motor ground. Where does it go?
Wipers are not working on my car and I found out the ground "isnt" grounding. I put a jumper wire in and the wipers worked then. Does the wiper ground tie into other ground in the harness?

Id have to look at my book again but the older ones used a copper ground strap that grounded the housing through one of the mount bolts/holes. Id say check that

Exactly; it sort of connected across one of th erubber mounting bushings. Wasn't a "wire", or part of the "harness", at all.
Notorious for failing though, as it uses the rubber to hold it in place. Can't possibly remain working forever, as the rubber invariably compresses, wears, etc. and then the strap isn't held tight any more and develops bad connections. They basically ALWAYS fail. Every car, every time, sooner or later, no other possible outcome, guaranteed.
EVERY.
I generally just make a short piece of wire to go from one of the motor screws to a convenient screw on the firewall, and forget about the factory thing.

I installed a wire into the 3 pocket connector that snaps into the bottom of the wiper motor and it worked. I have black yellow and blue wire I think that goes to the motor part itself.I slid a temporary ground into the pocket that the black wire was and it worked. Hmm

I see what your saying now. I accually went home at lunch and turned my wipers on, went under the hood and touched a ground to the motor assembly case and it started to work. I will rig something up. Thanks Guys!
