What is this harness for?

I found this harness hanging out under the steering column, can anybody tell me what it's for?

It has two purple wires, one green, one light blue, and one yellow... and I'm having a tough time following the wires

My first guess was fog light harness? My 92 Bird did not come with fog lights or power hatch release, but when I removed the bezel I found the wiring for the fog switch and the hatch switch. The fog switch had yellow and purple coming out of it ... hence the guess.

Thanks guys!!!

That's probably a good guess. Car starts fine? Only other thing I can think of is an ignition circuit part (like the starter enable relay), thus I asked about the starting.

Fog lights

Much too small for starter enable relay, plus 92 would have VATS, so the car wouldnt start without that

Re: What is this harness for?

thanks for the diagram, but the problem is, i don't know how to read a diagram like that

but here is my question... if that IS the foglight relay harness, will there be wires somewhere near the front bumper?

starting to wonder if it'll just be easier to buy a set of fog lights and wire it up all instead of using factory wiring

Re: What is this harness for?

You may have it but probably not. Check near the front turn signals for a 2 pin connector on both sides. Wires will be ppl and blk
