No mist, no high beams
So after having a buncha problems I got my wiper intervall settings to work again, by buying a new motor with a new pulse board. This however did not give me back the mist function, the wipers come on as long as I keep it on but no spray. OTOH I can get a spray if I use the other paddle.
In addition to this I now found out I no longer have any high beams, when I pull it back, nothing happens, no click or anything. If I pull hard and keep it back I get the high beams on but I gotta keep my hand on the lever all the time or it goes back.
Could my lever be the cause of this, or could there be something else? I am considering buying a new switch. But I read something about the dimmer switch as well and how I can adjust it. I don't really get that, can the position of that dimmer make the lever "click" into position again? Might that also explain my issues with the mist function?

theres a rod that runs along the steering column that operates the switch, with the key on n the lights on, look under there and move the rod up n down if it clicks then its just gotta be adjusted to the way your steering column is usually set.

Yeah if I adjusted it up one click then the lights function again. Mist doesn't however, I seem to be unique with that problem in the whole world.

Re: No mist, no high beams
It occurs to me I might be going senile. My wipers haven't worked properly for two years but I could have sworn that before all the trouble started that the mist function would activate both the spray and wipers, not just wipers.
But elsewhere I've now had people tell me that no thats not how it works on GM cars, only the wipers are supposed to come on. If thats so I've spent months wondering WTH is wrong with the car when its actually working properly!!
