Upgrading Wiring (Windows, Wipers, Locks etc.) - Looking for your input
As my car quickly approaches its 25th Birthday, its electrical system is definitely showing its age. My most recent issues are in post # 4 here: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/elec...ge-issues.html
In addition to the above link, my barely breathing passenger window needs a new motor and some track maintenance. A lock actuator needs replacement and the other needs a good cleanup. My windshield wipers struggle to make a full pass and the washer fluid pump is dead.
I already have some of these parts and others I'm in the process of acquiring. Before installing them - based on the threads I've read - I'm considering the suggestion of many members here of upgrading the wiring to be both new, as well as a thicker gauge.
If you have done this already, whether it be locks, windows, mirrors, wiper etc. what gauge wire is the right choice to use? And, based on that, how much wire should I expect to need, considering I can buy it packaged or on a spool. Additionally, besides a cleaning and rewiring, is there anything else suggested that I can do to get my car back to (or close to) its former glory?
Thanks in advance!

there are a few good wiring sizing charts online that i've seen, here's one i use for quick numbers:

double check the fuse rating for the circuit and measure out the length of wiring and choose your size accordingly. most factory wiring is just enough to meet spec, one step up can help, along with making sure all your grounds are clean and paint/rust free. dielectric grease in all connections will keep out moisture and give a more solid connection.

I've gone as far as possible on my own, electrically, so I brought my car to a specialty automotive electronics shop two weeks ago. He said that any problem I've been having can be fixed by him, however, he told me that he preferred to clean up some of my wires with matching wire.
The problem is that he hasn't serviced third gens in a while and doesn't know offhand where to acquire matching wire. Specifically, the non-solid colored wires like the TAN w/WHITE and the GREEN w/WHITE.
Anyone know where I can buy some rolls of factory original style colored and gauge wire online - with good prices and quality from your experience - so I can finally clean up this mess and drive my car before the summer ends?
Thanks in advance!
