blinker question

Hey guys,

I am going through some issues with my blinkers and have a quick question. My old yellow flasher unit works, but the lights are barely noticeable so I thought it was grounding out. However, when I replace the flasher with one I was given from autozone (a clear 1x1) and I attempt to use my left/right signals, the hazard lights come on...

Any ideas?

Re: blinker question

maybe faulty turn signal switch? When you say "clear 1 x 1" is that a no load flasher they sold you? I have seen when people use the no load flashers, and they have a poor ground on the brake/turn circuit, it causes some funky things to happen just like you are saying.
