ive been looking at other threads and i cant find a solution for my problem.
i have an 87 camaro v6 2.8 mpfi, when i am accelerating or on the gas my volt gauge drops and my lights dim when i let completely off the gas the volts go up to normal and the lights get brighter, altinator is good (popped negative, and tested at parts store) the battery is new (also had retested).

this is a re- occuring problem, last time i bought a new battery and relocated my ground to altinator bracket and it went away no issues at all, then i had a muffler welded on to the car and now the issue is back

i rely on this car for work and i have to drive home in the dark and i dont want to get pulled over for my lights flickering.

Hate to brake it to you, but the diodes in your alternator are shot. That's the only reason your lights would be flickering with the exception of a bad connection somewhere. With your description of the voltage gauge though, I'd say your alternator is bad. Replace it, or if you're crafty and resourceful, put an oscilloscope on there and watch the wave pattern.
