I was searching the forums for my problem but none of them really fit my problem.
My rear defroster doesn't work, when I hit the switch the light doesn't come on, but I hear a pinging sound come from the ECM area under the PASS kick panel. The posts in the trunk struts are connected and my fuses are good. What do you guys think?

The drivers side hatch post gets power and the PASS side is grounded( when the switch is off they are both grounded) I pulled out the trim to see the backside of the switch and the wires and when the switch some wires are powered and some are grounded, when the switch is off only 1 of the wires has power. Is it possible the bulb is out? If so what bulb do I use and how do I replace it? Or test it?
