Gauge Cluster Rebuild

Hey anyone know of a good place that would rebuild my guage cluster out of my 92 z28? Half of my lights do not work and my odometer dose not work anymore either.

Re: Gauge Cluster Rebuild

Its electric. Really simple to pull the cluster and replace the lights. Most replace them with LEDs. Just do a search for gauge cluster LEDs. The speedo issue can usually be solved by replacing the VSS if its not working or tracing which wire is broken if the VSS is working. If you have a TBI engine then you also have a VSS buffer box which will need to be replaced it is non functional. The speedo circuits on our cars are very simple so it should be no problem for you to fix these issues.

VSS is vehicle speed sensor correct? where is it located? and i know for a fact that one of the light bulbs isnt burnt out it is the plastic socket that the bulb slides inside that twists into the back of the cluster. the "socket" is broken dose anyone know where to buy those?

Re: Gauge Cluster Rebuild

Your '92 gauge cluster is different than my '86 but replacing the light bulbs is really no big deal. Mine has I think 11 bulbs just for the dials. Sorry I can't help with the speedo.
