first my brights wouldnt go off, now i have no lights and no dome lights

so I had to replace the dimmer switch, and also the ignition switch.

get all the new parts on and connected, connect the battery, and no lights, no dome lights.

the dash, radio, basically everything else works, but no dome lights. this is where it gets odd, i was checking fuses, took out the vats fuse, but it back in, and suddenly all the lights come on... check to see if brights work, and then everything goes back off...

im basically at my wits end here, any suggestions or anything?
