Hatch problems

Okay I just bought this 92 purple haze z28 and I can't get the hatch open. I have the keys and it turns in the cylinder but doesn't open. Also the switch inside is hooked up but nothing is happening. Is there a way of unplugging switch and jumping circuit and see if that works? Thanks.

Re: Hatch problems

I'd open your console and look to see if the connection to the electric popper isn't connected.
