I need heat, Blower motor not working

I just bought an 85 trans am, and the blower motor does not work at all. No matter where you turn the controls nothing. I;m not to good at electronics, could it just be the motor? or something else... Thanks

Until you put battery power direct to the motor to see if it actually works we will never know

Why Doesn’t This Blower Add Horsepower ?

The blower motor is located on the right side firewall behind a roundish housing.

You will see a
12 AWG purple wire going to it.

That is the place you will apply power to see if the blower works.

Happy Racing!

Yes,..... the air "mode" is controlled by vacuum on the AC equipped 82-89 cars. AC/Delete cars used a cable to control air delivery during those years. From 90-92 AC AND AC/Delete cars used vacuum controls.

Inside the engine bay the AC/heater harness will have 1 hard plastic vacuum line sticking out of it. Start by checking that this vacuum line is connected to a vacuum port on the intake or Carb. If it is,..... close the hood and get ready; the next step is to start checking the vacuum lines under the dash !
