91 Z28 5.7 TPS Throttle Position Sensor causing hesitation
Dear All I have a 91 Z28 TPI 5.7, she seems to have a stupid hesitation problem from the start n go and mostly in reverse, but once moving she drives just fine. I've changed out the TPS, IAC, Dist, Cap, Rotor, Ign coil, and plugs. Checked all the Ohms on my injectors "16.5" But I can't seem to get rid of this slight hesitation. So today I pulled off the TPS sensor and of course the "Service Engine Soon" lights come on, but dam does she hauls. The car ran extremely fast, fishtailed all over the place and I instantly started to tear up the road with no hesitation what so ever at all. Doe's anyone know what's going with my car? Is the TPS directly related to my problem? Was I suppose to time the TPS and IAC after replacing them? If so then how do I go about it.
Also should I get a chip or some type of computer program to upgrade this L98 engine since the TPS is controlling the output of the engine's performance? Literally, once the TPS was disconnected the engine was hauling butt. If anyone has any advice, please let me know of any upgrades?
