Ghost in the system.
Hey all, it's been a long time since I posted, but it's that time of the year again here in Wisconsin to start prepping our babies to run free on the blacktops. If you aren't familiar with the many issues I've had with my firebird I'll skip to whats going on.
When i first bought her 2 years ago from a friend who needed to part with it because he was being deployed. my check engine light would start flashing and my engine would bog down, misfire, cuss, and bitch like she was on a menstrual cycle from hell. This happened really only when she was warmed up. I got these 3 SES codes, 14, 15, 32. or 15, 16, 32 I forget which ones. Since then I've replaced every electronic component on the ignition circuit (aside from a new ECM) and I she still bucks and hollers.
I've tried to see if shes getting any other codes but she doesn't wanna cough any up when I check it out, and I'd rather not pay for an OBDI reader tool. My problem is this, I'm wondering if the EGR valve plays any roll in the dictation of Ignition, It seems this problem is only prominent when the engine is warm, and I just replaced the Coolant Temp Sensor. I know that the EGR needs to be replaced so I just want to know if I should expect a fix or start looking at pulling the harness out with my teeth, and/or rewiring it, or just drop a bigger engine in it.
any feedback would be awesome
