Working speedo gauge without ECU
Im running an 87 TPI auto Firebird with aftermarket ECU, what is needed to get the speedo working?
Do I need to connect a wire (light green or brown) from the vss buffer box to...?

Re: Working speedo gauge without ECU
If your car is same as the Camaro then you have a mechanical cable driven speedometer. The VSS is in the speedometer head and sends a 4000ppm signal to the buffer box which sends a 2000 ppm speed input to the ECM (stock). Check for broken cable or inoperative Speedometer.

lt green to speedometer and the input to the ecm will determine on what ecm you are using and the specified input

Figured it out, I had no ground to the buffer box, grounded it and speedo works fine.
Thanks
Thanks
